A Hello and Goodbye

I went to visit Kim at her brand new location for Lovesick, the killer vintage shop in London Ontario, now located at 723 Richmond St. It was a bit of a hello and goodbye as it was my first time seeing her new shop and my last before moving to Toronto. I went with my good friend Emily of Emily.Jane Photography and she took some great photos (as per usual) and below are some of my favourites.

An amazing cape available for sale and me making my most beautiful "model" face

Creepers I would have purchased if they were a half size bigger.

Outfits and Outings

Emily.Jane Photography and I went out for a picnic and walk through the Market. I wore a top from H&M, Nine West shoes, vintage skirt, bag, and necklace from Lovesick. As I have said before I am very into Polka Dots right now and can't wait to wear layers and layers come fall! Here is my summer version as layers and layers just wont work for the moment.

One Crazy Weekend

Unfortunately I only have a few photos to share from this weekend because, my camera is unbelievably awful and 80% of my pictures didn't turn out, and Eric and I forgot our passports and spent most of our weekend on the greyhound bus. We were ten minutes outside of London on our way to Toronto when we realized we both left our passports sitting at home. The wedding was in Niagara Falls New York and there would be no crossing the border without them so we had to continue to Toronto, spend the day looking at apartments, head straight back to London, sleep, get back on a greyhound to Toronto, and then travel two more hours to my dads house, sleep, then head to Niagara Falls, etc. We were very upset with ourselves for forgetting them, as I'm sure you could imagine. We did find an apartment we really like and are waiting to hear back from the landlord after she calls our references. I'm crossing my fingers as it is in a great neighbourhood, 8 minute walk from the subway, and a 24 hour street car stops right down the street! The wedding was fantastic and I do have a couple of photos below, but as I said almost none of the photos turned out. After our move we are going to start saving for a new camera and will hopefully own our first SLR!

not from our travels, but our cherry tomatos are starting to get ripe!

there was a photobooth at the wedding and I definitely took advantage of it

An Outfit and Apartment Hunting

TWO months left on Eric's and my sublet in London! We are ready for a change after living in London for the past 6 years. Toronto here we come! The only issue is I need to find a job and an apartment that isn't over our budget, but still in a young downtown neighborhood. For anyone who may know Toronto fairly well any neighborhood suggestions would be great! I have been told I would like Parkdale, Cabbagetown, and Little Italy. With all of my Toronto planning I have been searching for Toronto related blogs.

these have been my favourites so far: Text Styles, Thankyouok, Toronto Verve, and Style Blog. They are making me very excited for my move! I will also be closer to my family which will be an added bonus.

Lovesick

(photo from the Lovesick facebook page)

Now is the time to get to know the little shop where 80% of my clothes come from. Lovesick, is an amazing vintage clothing store in Wortley Village, London, Ontario at 69 Craig street. It is extremely affordable and the shop owner, Kimberly Petrie, is one of the most inspiring and kind people I have ever met. Kim has been collecting for years and has an eye for the best pieces imaginable, I guarantee you will find something to your liking.
